Sean Lennon has revealed thoughts on the actor to portray his father, John Lennon, in the anticipated biopic directed by Sam Mendes. In a light-hearted comment to Variety,
Sean Lennon playfully suggested that Emma Stone, known for her recent role in "Poor Things," should consider the part. "I think if you're gonna reach that as an actor, the next obvious step is to really go for it and be John Lennon," he joked.
Lennon quickly shifted to a more serious tone, acknowledging the challenges of casting such an iconic figure. "I do think with someone as famous as my dad, it’s very hard to cast a film like that," he admitted.
Reflecting on the success of music biopics like "La Vie en Rose" and "Ray," Lennon remains optimistic about the project. "You can pull it off, and I think we’re gonna do a good job, so I’m excited," he concluded.
