David Bowie's journey to stardom will be encapsulated in a comprehensive new box set titled 'David Bowie - Rock 'n' Roll Star,' releasing on June 14th. The release includes a five CD and one Blu-ray set, featuring 29 previously unreleased tracks that trace the evolution of his groundbreaking album, 'The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders From Mars.'
The collection offers an unprecedented glimpse into Bowie's creative process, with early songwriting demos, recordings from his time with The Arnold Corns, rehearsals at his former residence, Haddon Hall, and BBC sessions. Fans will also be treated to singles, live performances, and a wealth of outtakes and alternative versions from the original album sessions, all newly mixed by the album's original producer, Ken Scott.
For vinyl enthusiasts, a one-LP version of 'Rock 'n' Roll Star' will be available, containing 14 select tracks from the box set. As a prelude to this exciting release, a 1971 demo of "Ziggy Stardust" has been shared on YouTube, offering a glimpse of what's to come.
