In a candid appearance on "The Kelly Clarkson Show", Sheryl Crow revisited a memorable encounter with guitarist Gary Clark Jr. Sheryl told the story of how she once hired and promptly fired Clark on the same day due to his lack of preparation. Despite the rocky start, the two musicians have since formed a strong friendship.
Crow also opened up about the influence of Prince on her performances, particularly her hit "Every Day Is a Winding Road." She fondly recalled how Prince's unique rendition of her song, complete with his own lyrical twist, always comes to mind. Sheryl also recounted a visit to Paisley Park, where she and Prince played a quick game of basketball.
Despite considering herself a skilled player, Crow humorously admitted to being outplayed by Prince, who managed to best her while sporting his signature heels.
