The Police have revisited their final album, "Synchronicity," from 1983. They have transformed the iconic album into an expansive box set, featuring a collection of 55 previously unreleased tracks. Among these are Sting's original demos for the album, offering fans a rare glimpse into the creative process behind the record.
The box also includes live tracks from various performances across the U.S. These include shows in Miami in 1979, Los Angeles in 1981, and Atlanta in 1983. There is also an unreleased show from September 10th, 1983, at the Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum in Oakland, California, providing a snapshot of the band's dynamic live presence.
To complement the music, the box set features new liner notes complete with fresh interviews with the band members. It also houses a collection of rare archival memorabilia and previously unseen photographs from that period, further reinforcing the narrative of The Police during their "Synchronicity" era. The box set, available in various formats including CD, vinyl, and digital, is set for release on July 26th, which will mark 41 years and a month since the original album's release on June 17th, 1983.
