Alice Cooper has once again thrown his hat into the political ring, albeit with his tongue firmly in cheek. Continuing a tradition that began with his 1972 hit "Elected," Cooper has launched a mock "campaign" for the presidency every four years.
This year is no exception, and the rock ‘n roll icon has rolled out a new website, AliceForPresident.com, where fans can get a glimpse of his platform for "the Wild Party," a playful nod to his outsider status and his theatrical personality.
Cooper's campaign is as much a part of his persona as his black eyeliner and guillotine props. In his latest "campaign" video, Alice quips, "Well, I'm Alice Cooper and I'm a troubled man for troubled times. I have absolutely no idea what to do, so I should fit right in."
