The new album "Friendlytown" by Booker T & The M.G.s' guitarist Steve Cropper and The Midnight Hour will feature a star-studded lineup. Queen's Brian May, ZZ Top's Billy Gibbons, and Tim Montana are among the artists who have contributed to the album. Cropper is particularly enthusiastic about the collection of songs, saying, “If your booty is not shaking in the first two bars of this album, you’re already dead in a chair.” He further adds that the songs are packed with radio hooks and describes the album as "guitar heaven."
The first single from the album, “Too Much Stress," is already out and showcases the collaborative spirit of the project. The track features Brian May, who not only trades guitar solos with Billy Gibbons but also lends his voice to the song. May sings the duet vocal with Roger C. Reale and contributes to the backing vocals, adding a unique dimension to the song.
"Friendlytown" is slated for release on August 23rd.
