Roger Daltrey has confirmed that The Who has plans for 2025, echoing Pete Townshend’s earlier statements. In an interview with Britain’s Press Association, Daltrey revealed that there are “a couple of things planned for next year,” emphasizing that The Who is not finished yet. He expressed confidence vocal ability, saying, “I feel that I’m singing possibly better than I have for years.” Daltrey highlighted the unique nature of their music, suggesting that it stands apart from most rock music and should continue to be performed.
Regarding touring, Daltrey talked about the importance of genuine commitment, saying he “can’t go through the motions” and must be fully dedicated to the performance. He reflected on their last tour with an orchestra, describing it as the “pinnacle” of their career. Looking ahead, Daltrey suggested a return to their roots, focusing on raw, small-scale performances and spontaneous jamming sessions. He believes this approach could bring a new, exciting edge to their shows, stating, “It maybe needs to get a bit more dangerous.”
