Tina, who was enduring an abusive marriage with Ike Turner, turned to Cher for advice on how to leave. Cher recounts a poignant moment on the set of the "Sonny & Cher Show" when Tina asked her to help cover a bruise on her arm. It was then that Tina inquired about how Cher managed to leave Sonny.
Cher's response was straightforward and powerful: "I just walked out and kept on going." This simple yet profound advice resonated with Tina, who eventually found the strength to leave Ike in 1976, finalizing their divorce in 1978.
