At 78, Cher is gearing up to release what she believes will be her final album. This exciting news was shared last Monday at London’s Lyceum Theatre during a Q&A session for her latest project, ‘Cher: The Memoir, Part One.’
Cher expressed her enthusiasm, saying, “I’m really excited. They are great songs and I’m just really excited that I’m doing it. I’m really excited to be doing anything now.” Her passion for music and performing clearly remains undiminished.
She also brought her trademark humor to the event, playfully acknowledging her age. “I’m older than dirt now, OK? I’m the oldest person I meet in almost every room unless I’m in an old folks’ home,” she joked, eliciting laughter from the audience. Cher’s ability to blend humor with honesty has always been one of her many charms, endearing her to fans across generations.
This new album will be particularly special as it marks Cher’s first collection of original material since 2013's Closer to the Truth.
