Ringo Starr made a memorable debut at Nashville’s Grand Ole Opry last Friday. Donning a white cowboy hat, just like the one on the cover of his new country album, ‘Look Up,’ Ringo charmed the audience with his heartfelt words. “As you may have noticed I’m dressed up a bit tonight. I’m a cowboy inside, and this is a great honor and an incredible moment for me… This would just be a dream to end up here,” he said, perfectly capturing his excitement and gratitude.
The performance included three songs that showcased his versatility and connection to country music. He performed “Time on My Hands” from Look Up and delighted the crowd with “Act Naturally” alongside Molly Tuttle, who also contributed to the album. To top it off, he closed with the classic “With a Little Help From My Friends,” leaving the audience in high spirits.
Ringo fans can look forward to more of his Nashville magic with the upcoming CBS special, Ringo & Friends at the Ryman, airing on March 10th. The special will feature highlights from his two shows last month at the Ryman Auditorium, another iconic Nashville venue. Joining him will be a stellar lineup of friends, including Sheryl Crow, Jack White, Brenda Lee, Mickey Guyton, Emmylou Harris, and several others.
