"I voted every day and watched his standing on the fan vote. ‘Long overdue’ — those were my daughter’s first words when we heard the news,” she said. Pam noted that while Joe wasn't obsessed with the Hall of Fame, he did desire the recognition, often wondering why other deserving artists hadn't been inducted before him.
Vic, Joe's brother, also commented on the significance of this honor. "It’s an important piece of recognition for Joe, I think. I think he would have been really delighted about it, so I’m really pleased," he remarked. Vic highlighted how Joe grew up admiring the first generation of Hall of Fame inductees, many of whom were his heroes. Being recognized alongside these legends and his contemporaries, like The Beatles, whom he knew personally, would have been a source of great joy for Joe.
