Billy Joel is reassuring fans that while he’s facing a serious health challenge, he’s far from calling it quits. The 76-year-old music legend recently revealed he’s been diagnosed with Normal Pressure Hydrocephalus, a brain disorder that affects balance, vision, and memory. The condition has forced him to cancel all upcoming tour dates, including a highly anticipated summer run. But in a message relayed by Howard Stern on his show, Billy made it clear: “I’m not dying.” Stern added, “He does have issues, but he said, ‘Yeah, you can tell people: I’m not dying.’ He just… he’s gotta deal with some medical stuff”
Despite the setback, Billy’s family and fans remain optimistic. His daughter, Alexa Ray Joel, shared that her father is “entirely committed to making a full recovery.” According to a statement from his team, Billy is undergoing targeted physical therapy and is following doctors’ orders to rest and recover.
