Cyndi Lauper takes a final bow

Cyndi Lauper wrapped up her farewell tour in a big way last Saturday night at the Hollywood Bowl, and she didn’t do it alone. Cher and Joni Mitchell joined Cyndi on stage for a show packed with emotion, nostalgia, and powerhouse performances. Cyndi and Joni teamed up for their rendition of Mitchell’s classic “Carey,” and Cher helped bring the house down with a high-energy duet of Cyndi’s signature anthem, “Girls Just Want to Have Fun.”

The evening also featured appearances by SZA, John Legend, Trombone Shorty, and Jake Wesley Rogers, each adding their own flair to the celebration.Cyndi’s farewell show brought together artists from different generations to honor her long career and tremendous influence. As the final notes of the evening rang out, Cyndi Lauper was showered with a big bouquet of flowers and a cascade of confetti giving the superstar a tremendous send off after an amazing 4-decade career of hits and touring.
