Rock and Roll Hall of Famer James Taylor will have his Grand Ole Opry debut next month, on Tuesday, November 11th. As the Grand Ole Opry celebrates its 100th anniversary this year, the iconic venue is branching out to include even more musical genres as it also welcomes pop star Sabrina Carpenter on November 7th.
James Taylor’s appearance will be a milestone moment that bridges the gap between the Opry’s longstanding country tradition and the broader great American songbook. JT is one of the most beloved singer-songwriter’s of all time with classics like “Fire and Rain” and ‘Caroline in My Mind”—which should seamlessly fit the Opry’s sound and tradition.
