The long-promised Culture Club documentary finally has a U.S. release date. Boy George and Culture Club will hit theaters across the country on June 9th, bringing the story of the 80’s group to the big screen after months of buzz. The film had its world premiere at the 2025 Tribeca Festival, and the anticipation has been building since then.
The documentary is directed by Alison Ellwood who’s quickly becoming one of the go-to names in music docs. She previously headed up documentaries about The Go-Go’s and Cyndi Lauper. The film shines a spotlight on an artist and band that helped help shape the 80’s pop sound while they dealt with challenges along the way.
