PRINCE:  Sinead O'Connor claims he was violent

Sinead O’Connor says in a newly-released interview with police that Prince frequently used "hard drugs" and was "extremely violent" toward a number of women.

The interview was conducted by the Carver County Sheriff's Office 11 days after Prince's death in 2016 and TMZ has obtained the audio. In it, O'Connor, who had a hit with Prince's "Nothing Compares 2 U," says "Everyone is mistaken who believes that he did not have a drug habit for the entire of his life. He used hard drugs commonly. I know this because I spent time with the man."

She claims that he would often become violent, even towards her, and sent several women to the hospital. She predicted that many of these women would eventually come forward with their stories. O'Connor also claims he had locked her inside his house and threatened to beat her up. She added, "Prince was not a very nice man."
