Public Awareness Night – Saving Bodies, Minds, and Hearts

H.O.T. Regional Advisory Council is hosting a free event Thursday, June 7th from 5:00pm – 7:00pm at the Employee Parking lot across from Baylor S&W Hillcrest ER. Learn about medical emergencies, including trauma, sudden cardiac arrest/heart attack, stroke, and mental health awareness. Healthcare providers will also be giving cholesterol and stroke screenings, as well as information on a variety of topics, including recognizing the signs and symptoms of a heart attack or stroke, and how to best respond. Fire fighters will be teaching Hands Only (compressions-only) CPR, and Stop the Bleed. Get to know your first responders and understand when to call 9-1-1. Presently, the percentage of persons utilizing EMS for life threatening emergencies is less than 50%.  Time lost is Brain lost! Don't miss this free event that could save a life!
