Eric Clapton paid tribute to Ginger Baker

Eric Clapton paid tribute to the late Ginger Baker last weekend as part of an all-star London concert, featuring Roger Waters, Nile Rodgers, Ron Wood, Steve Winwood, Paul Carrack, and Baker’s son Kofi, according to Rolling Stone.

Clapton said about Baker, “He was a scoundrel, but I loved him and he loved me and that was that,” He added, “I saw some people get the rough edge of his tongue, but I never did and I feel blessed. That’s why I’m doing this. I miss him.” 

The concert, held at the Eventim Apollo Hammersmith, also featured a set list of Cream and Blind Faith tunes, including Clapton and Waters performing “Sunshine of Your Love,” Waters also rocked on “White Room” and “Strange Brew.”

Winwood jumped in with Blind Faith tunes “Can’t Find My Way Home,” “Well all Right” and more. The evening ended with everyone on hand for “Crossroads.”
