Adam Lambert has channeled the spirit of Freddie Mercury as the lead singer of the revamped Queen, and now he's set to capture the vibe of another rock legend -- Elvis Presley.
On Australian morning talk show Studio 10, Adam said he'd heard that Moulin Rouge director Baz Luhrmann had a bio-pic in the works and noted, “I have been compared to him quite a bit. I got to do this tribute thing that has a re-creation of his comeback special. I got the lip, the lip goes up -- audition me, come on!"
Tom Hanks is reportedly signed to play Elvis's manager Colonel Tom Parker, but the King has not been cast.
