Mike Reno of Loverboy has talked about the stay-at-home order during the coronavirus crisis being difficult for his family.
The rocker livesdown the street from his mother -- but isn't able to visit her.
Mike says, "This is a strange, strange time we're going through. I think we're all going through it. I happen to be looking after my mother; she's down the street in a nice retirement apartment. But we're not allowed to go in and see her anymore. That's the biggest thing. You know, we would usually shop for her and get her some groceries and things that she needs and sit with her and have tea. It's her birthday in two weeks, she'll be 90. So we're really keeping an eye on her -- but the last few weeks. we haven't even been able to make contact, other than by telephone."
Mike says his mom watches classic movies on TCM. She can watch some titles 15 times but never tire of them. By contrast, Mike and his wife have been watching Netflix.
Mike Reno says he’s watching friends Kevin Cronin and REO Speedwagon in a Netflix series:
"We've been watching Ozark, my good friends from REO Speedwagon were on the other night, believe it or not. We played the same kind of stage they did. In real, real life in the Ozarks over the last few years. They have good parties up there. And they bring in rock bands and everybody has fun."
