Last Friday, the "New York Times" published what is Bob Dylan’s first interview in at least four years. The music icon touched on a variety of subjects, including the death of George Floyd.
Dylan said, “It sickened me no end to see George tortured to death like that,” he told the paper “It was beyond ugly. Let’s hope that justice comes swift for the Floyd family and for the nation.”
Dylan also talked about his love of the Eagles, and touched on the deaths of John Prine and Little Richard, noting, “Both of those guys were triumphant in their work. They don’t need anybody doing tributes. Everybody knows what they did and who they were. And they deserve all the respect and acclaim that they received.”
He also discussed the coronavirus crisis, noting, “I think it’s a forerunner of something else to come,” adding, “extreme arrogance can have some disastrous penalties. Maybe we are on the eve of destruction. There are numerous ways you can think about this virus. I think you just have to let it run its course.”
