Neil Diamond’s all-time classic “Sweet Caroline” has been taken to task by one Irish Pub in the coronavirus pandemic because of its lyrics.
A picture has gone viral across social media of a chalkboard sign created by Murphy’s Irish Pub in Spain’s Canary Islands—which has officially banned the song.
The sign reads “There will be no: touching hands, reaching out, touching me, touching you.”
One tweet later noted: “2020 claims another victim. RIP Sweet Caroline.”
