Freda Payne and Johnny Mathis have joined forces for an updated version of the Gershwin classic "They Can't Take That Away From Me."
With classics like "Band of Gold" and "Bring the Boys Home," Freda says, "Many singers request for Johnny to sing duets, but he doesn't grant that wish for everybody. I thought I was more honored to work with him but he was honored, too -- tickled and honored." Working together at Hollywood's famed Capitol Studios, "It was lovely recording our vocals perched on stools side by side."
You’ll recall Mathis enjoyed his biggest hit of the '70s when he joined Deniece Williams on "Too Much, Too Little, Too Late."
