Roger Daltrey say he’s not sure of the timing on recording a new Who album. Pete Townshend recently said he was ready to record.
Daltrey told Uncut magazine, "There’s no record market anymore. Everybody talks about streaming, but have you seen what artists get from that? It’s a joke.
Talking about the group’s 2019 Who album, Daltrey added, “It was great to have an album out there, something that the fans liked, and I was really proud of it. But far too much money was spent making it. It went out of control completely and ended up costing me money. I can’t go on doing that.”
Townshend has said he 25 songs, 15 of which he sent to Daltrey for a possible new album. We’ll see what happens next.
