Mick Fleetwood plans to follow up the release next month of his Peter Green tribute concert album and DVD with a documentary onFleetwood Mac's founder and their career before Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks launched them into the stratosphere.
Mick tells Rolling Stone, "We’re working on what I hope will be a really substantive documentary that will have so much input from all the lovely people that played this concert. I don’t mean in the live form of the concert, but there’s a whole documentary of weeks and weeks of rehearsals and stuff we started here in Hawaii. I’m really looking forward to that. It will eventually be put in a capsule that tells a story that I hope will be meaningful in telling the history of my band, Fleetwood Mac."
The concert, Mick Fleetwood and Friends Celebrate the Music of Peter Green and the Early Years of Fleetwood Mac, was held last February in London and featured Pete Townshend, David Gilmour, Billy Gibbons, Steven Tyler and many others.
It premieres on On-Demand on March 27th and then the audio and video will be released in numerous configurations on April 30th.
Peter Green died last July at the age of 73.
