Donny Osmond revealed that he had a major health scare back in 2019 that left him temporarily paralyzed. The pop icon revealed details in an interview with Great Britain’s ‘Mirror.’
Donny told the Mirror that his issues began at the end of the last show he and sister Marie performed during their Las Vegas residency. Donnie recalled, "I couldn’t feel my arms, then suddenly my legs too. I didn’t tell anyone what was happening to me... I just kept dancing and finished the show.”
After he got home, Osmond consulted with his doctors and received the news that he needed spinal surgery because of repeated injuries that were never diagnosed. Donnie later got the operation and he said, “I thought everything was going to be fine, but it couldn’t have been worse. I got a secondary infection which meant I wasn’t able to move.”
It took several months for him to recover. Donny said, “I started from below ground zero but it feels like coming back from the dead. I’m pain free now, maybe even stronger than I was before.”
