Mick Jagger responded to a comment by Paul McCartney who recently said The Rolling Stones were really a blues cover band.
McCartney made those comments in comparing The Rolling Stones to The Beatles.
In a new interview with The New Yorker. McCartney said, “I’m not sure I should say it, but they’re a blues cover band, that’s sort of what the Stones are. I think our net was cast a bit wider than theirs.”
At a Stones concert at which McCartney was in attendance last Thursday night in Los Angeles, Mick mentioned McCartney, saying, "Paul McCartney's here. He's gonna join us in a blues cover later on."
Jagger also made a point of posting the video of him saying that on his socials.
