Heart have received a big offer to tour for the first time since 2019, but Ann and Nancy Wilson are not on the same page with the idea, so for now the sisters will tour with their own bands.
Nancy is actually calling her band as Nancy Wilson's Heart, which includes members from the 2019 band lineup.
Nancy recently talked about why she and sister Ann are not touring this year as Heart.
Nancy said, "Ann wasn't interested in going out with my lineup of guys that we were out with before. She has a new lineup of guys that she wanted me to join up with. So I sort of [thought] I don't really know them and don't have loyalty yet for anybody like that. So I just decided when I do go out with my new singer Kimberly, I can telegraph to the people coming to the show that they're gonna hear Heart songs in a whole different way than ever expected." She added that even though she's using the Heart name, fans shouldn’t compare the two bands or her singer Kimberly Nichole to sister Ann. Nancy also said, "I figure that's a way to let them know that it's not just Nancy Wilson of Heart doing whatever, but it's Nancy Wilson's Heart where you're gonna hear more Heart stuff."
Nancy hasn’t officially announced any tour dates. She just performed a Las Vegas residency where she was backed up by Styx during their show.
Sister Ann will release her new album, ‘Fierce Bliss,’ on April 29th, and she'll be out on tour in the spring and summer with her own band, The Amazing Dawgs.
The family issues between Nancy and Ann began back in 2016 when Ann's husband, Dean Welter, was arrested for assaulting Nancy's then-16-year-old twin sons backstage during a show in Seattle. Welter pleaded guilty to two lesser assault charges to avoid jail time.
