The nominees for this year’s Rock and Roll Hall of Fame class were announced last month, and they include Pat Benatar, Dolly Parton, Eminem, Judas Priest, Lionel Richie, Duran Duran, DEVO, Eurythmics, and Carly Simon.
Now fans are weighing in on who they think should get in. According to a survey conducted by OnePoll, Dolly Parton is the top fan choice for enshrinement this year, with 33%.
By the way those 77 and older prefer Lionel Richie. The top 5 fan favorites (in order) are Dolly Parton, followed by Lionel Richie, Carly Simon, Pat Benatar and Dionne Warwick at #5.
Despite coming in at #1 on this poll, Dolly Parton does not lead this year's fficial fan vote. Duran Duran is tops at the moment, with Eminem in second. Then it's Pat Benatar in third place, followed by Dolly and the Eurythmics. Official fan voting is open until April 29th.
