Dionne Warwick is speaking out about why she thinks the Cleveland-based Rock and Roll Hall of Fame should change its name, a day after Nancy Wilson suggested the same thing.
Dionne made an appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, and said, "I’m not a rock and roller. The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame as I grew to know it many, many years ago was specifically for rock and roll acts. I feel now, especially when I hear that Dolly Parton was nominated, they should rename the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and call it The Music Hall of Fame. It would bring so many other genres into it… why not?”
On Monday, Dolly Parton asked to be removed from the ballot. She is still on the ballot at number-four with 290,000 Fan Votes, and Dionne is 12th with 122,000.
Other artists on this year's ballot who don’t really fit the long regarded definition of Rock and Roll include Eminem, Lionel Richie, and Carly Simon.
