The eight-hour documentary “Beatles: Get Back,” directed by Peter Jackson is coming to Blu-Ray and DVD on July 12th.
It was previously announced back in January that the Blu-Ray and DVD release date would be February 8th. Pre-orders were later canceled due to an imperfection in the audio mix that caused the discs to have to be remanufactured.
The documentary was highly praised when it was released last Thanksgiving weekend on Disney+. In the documentary, Jackson used footage shot for the Fab Four’s 1969 “Let It Be” movie, along with a one-hour outtake of the famous rooftop concert released to IMAX for a one-time event.
Paul McCartney who loved the documentary, titled his current tour “Got Back.” The set includes an encore that opens with McCartney singing a duet of “I’ve Got A Feeling” with the pre-recorded video and audio of John Lennon from the rooftop concert.
