Queen recently pulled up a previously unreleased song with Freddie Mercury. They plan to release “Face It Alone” sometime in the next few months.
Roger Taylor and Brian May recently talked about the song:
Roger said, "We did find a little gem from Freddie that we’d kind of forgotten about and it’s wonderful actually. It was real discovery. It’s from The Miracle sessions and I think it's gonna be kind of out in September."
Brian said, “It was kind of hiding in plain sight. We looked at it many times and thought, 'Oh no, we can’t really rescue that.' But in fact, we went in there again and our wonderful engineering team went, 'Okay, we can do this and this.' It’s like kind of stitching bits together. But it’s beautiful. It's beautiful. It’s a very touching piece.”
Taylor added, "It's a very passionate piece."
"Face it Alone" is the first “new” song featuring Mercury since they released the Michael Jackson duet "There Must Be More to Life Than This" from the compilation Queen Forever in 2014.
