Pink Floyd -- David Gilmour and Nick Mason could accomplish something this week that they haven't done in 42 years by putting another hit in the top 20.
"Hey, Hey, Rise Up!," recorded and released on digital back in March, is on track to chart at number-18 in the U.K. after its physical release. It peaked at number-49 back in April. The song was recorded in support of the people of Ukraine, and it's their first new song since their album The Division Bell back in 1994.
Pink Floyd’s last Top 20 song was "Another Brick in the Wall (Part II)" in 1979. The last time Pink Floyd cracked the U.K. Top 40 was back in 1994 with “High Hopes" backed up with "Keep Talking” from The Division Bell, reaching number-26.
Proceeds from the song benefit Ukrainian Humanitarian Relief.
