Talking Heads keyboardist and guitarist Jerry Harrison was part of a listening session and panel discussion last Friday about the group’s recent catalog and social media upgrades.
Several Dolby Atmos remixes of the their catalog that are now streaming on Apple Music, along with HD remixes of several of their videos on YouTube.
Also on the panel with Harrison were producers and engineers Ed Stasium and Erik "ET" Thorngren, who had also worked with Talking Heads in the studio for several original recordings.
Harrison said that all the members of Talking Heads were basically on the same page about these new catalog updates. Harrison explained that the studio work fell to him for the project.
He said, [A U D I O] "It's certainly not contentious. I mean, David was way too busy with something he was doing in Denver -- I think it's called Theater of the Mind -- and so he really had to just sort of say, 'You guys do it.' And Chris didn't come out, but he was listening on headphones and as we got more to crunch time, we kept saying, 'You really have to take the time and listen, because we're going to make a decision,' and so he was really helpful."
