Former Journey lead singer Steve Perry just released two Christmas song that he’s been teasing fans with for a while.
The first song is "Maybe This Year," which Perry co-wrote with Dallas Kruse, and the second is a real soulful version of Donny Hathaway’s Christmas classic "This Christmas."
Perry said, "I wrote the lyrical sentiment about how the holidays can bring such joy and sadness and how for me, both these emotions give me connection to feelings of gratitude for so many years gone by, and a desire to hold on to these holiday feelings we share throughout the coming year... I dedicate both these tracks to my friend [Motown songwriter] Lamont Dozier [who died in August at the age of 81]."
Perry has added both songs to last year's Christmas album, This Season, which is now available digitally.
