Pete Townshend will join Roger Daltrey on December 2nd for an acoustic set at the concert celebrating artist Peter Blake's 90th birthday at Royal Festival Hall in London. Also appearing at the show will be Chrissie Hynde, Paul Weller, Madness and Noel Gallagher.
Blake is the artist who designed the cover of The Beatles’ Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band and The Who’s last album, WHO, in 2019. The Who are on the final week of their Hits Back tour. It wraps up this Saturday in Las Vegas.
Speaking of The Who, a video of late bassist John Entwistle's recording of “Bogey Man” from the 70’s with Keith Moon on drums was released this week in celebration of Halloween. The song is included on the latest Entwistle collection, Rarities Oxhumed--Volume One, which was released in October.
Entwistle found a demo cassette of a rhythm track with his vocal and horns. He eventually found the multi-track tape and added the missing tracks to make the song complete.
