Last fall, Devon Allman and singer Maggie Rose released their version of Jackson Browne’s classic “These Days” as a tribute to Devon’s late father, Gregg Allman.
The song featured guitars from Gregg’s personal collection. Former Allman Brother Chuck Leavell also played keyboards on the song.
Gregg, who was roommates with Jackson Browne in Los Angeles in the late ’60s, featured the song on his first album, Laid Back in 1973. The song was also covered by Gregg's third wife and Devon's stepmom, Cher, on her Stars in 1975.
Devon recalled sending Cher is version of “These Days.” He said, "I sent it to Cher and she cried and I was just like, 'wow.' And I sent it over to Jackson and he really loved it."
