Peter Gabriel finally kicked off his ‘i/o tour’ last Thursday night at the Tauron Arena in Krakow, Poland. It was Gabriel’s first full show since his ‘Back to Front’ tour in 2014.
Gabriel’s upcoming album i/o still doesn't have a release date. Four songs were featured at the concert that will be on the album, along with five additional new songs.
The show was opened by a video in which Gabriel introduced his band.
He said, “There’s always a mixture of dread and excitement when you decide to go on the road again. Actually, what I think has been making it pleasurable for me is the band. We have an amazing band, it’s the biggest band I’ve been out with — except when we were joining forces with Sting.”
The North American tour kicks off on September 8th in Quebec City, Canada, with the first U.S. date coming on September 14th in Boston.
