Stevie Nicks celebrates her 75th birthday today. We’re saluting the career of this amazing Rock and Roll Hall of Famer.
Stevie was born in Phoenix on May 26th, 1948. Stevie made history in 2019 when she became the first female artist to be inducted twice into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. She was first inducted in 1998 with Fleetwood Mac, which she helped relaunch with Lindsey Buckingham when they joined in legendary band back in1975.
Stevie is known for her unique voice. She has hit it big with several songs outside of Fleetwood Mac, including "Stop Draggin' My Heart Around," a duet with Tom Petty, "Stand Back," "Edge of Seventeen" and "Leather and Lace," with Don Henley.
Stevie once commented on her unique singing voice. She said, "I like my quirky little voice. I mean, I always think I can do better, but I like my voice. I don't have a whole lot of problem with that. And I also love to hear my voice singing with other people. And that's why obviously I sing with other people... is because I love harmony singing. I like my voice."
Stevie is on tour this year, including several shows with Billy Joel.
