Neil Young has apparently gone back on a promise he made. The rock ‘n roll legend wrote about it on his website.
Neil wrote, "A few years ago, I vowed to never use a fossil fuel car again. But I wanted to take my lovely wife [actress Daryl Hannah] out to dinner with family in my old ’50 Plymouth Special Deluxe. We fired it up, polluting the planet with its fumes while supporting the system that has almost ruined Earth.”
He added, "Life is short. I did it because it felt so good. It’s been my life and I wanted to do it again. Tomorrow (Thursday) I will probably take my F-150 Ford Lightning [electric pick-up truck] to the new surf shack where I am working with Niko, my ‘Volume Dealers,’ partner, on making all my old albums in Dolby Atmos / Apple Spatial so the next generation can hear them, but tonight Daryl and I are happy to be in the old Plymouth.”
Finally, Young said, "It's a rare thing. Electric and Bio is the future."
