Aerosmith will soon release yet another “greatest hits” collection -- their 15th. ‘Greatest Hits’ will be released on August 18th in multiple configurations. Fans can enjoy a super-deluxe limited-edition color vinyl set featuring 44 songs, photos from throughout their career in premium sleeves, along with four black-and-white lithographs.
This is the legendary band’s first hits collection under their new deal with Universal Music Group. Aerosmith kick off their Peace Out farewell tour on September 2nd in Philadelphia.
Joe Perry recently discussed the possibility of Aerosmith recording new music. He said, “Steven [Tyler] and I have been talking about it and listening to the catalog and listening to the different versions of the different songs and we're kind of getting excited about kind of the way Jimmy Page has been going back and looking at the Led Zeppelin catalog and releasing some of the stuff that's never been released before. So we've been kind of focusing on that and at the same time every once in a while we look at each other and go, 'Hey, what do you think about getting in the studio again?' With so much stuff going on I won't say it'll never happen, but we'll see."
