ZZ Top and Lynyrd Skynyrd kicked off ‘The Sharp Dressed Simple Man’ tour last Friday in West Palm Beach, Florida. The two legendary bands have been through a lot in the last couple of years.
Skynyrd posted a note that said they'll be “honoring our brother, Gary Rossington, and all the guys no longer with us, that helped create an amazing catalog of music” during the tour.
There have been some who have questioned why they call themselves “Lynyrd Skynyrd” since there are no original members left. The band commented: “To a few of the haters out there, we hope you will come support the band, the music, the legacy and have a great night! If not, feel free to stay home and crank up your favorite Skynyrd album or playlist, and rock out in spirit.”
The current tour runs through September 17th.
