Heart’s television debut was on March 4th, 1977, on ‘The Midnight Special.’ That “Crazy on You” performance is now on ‘The Midnight Special' YouTube channel.
Nancy Wilson once commented on the main guitar riff to “Crazy on You,” and how she heard the lyrics to the song for the first time: “[Our guitarist] Roger Fisher provided us with that memorable riff. That riff is wonderful. I was really sick, I had a fever and everything, and Ann came in with these lyrics. And I just remember being in some kind of a dream state, just going, ‘Those are the coolest words.’ The willow part -- ‘I was a willow last night in my dream,’ -- I was like, ‘Oh man, that’s so good. Okay, goodnight.’ And then I fell back to sleep.”
While fans wait for Heart to come together again, Nancy’s sister Ann is on the road and just posted a video of her performing “Straight On” off their 1978 album, Dog & Butterfly, on July 19th in Des Moines, Iowa.
