Ann Wilson has given an update on the Heart bio-pic that was announced a few years ago. She says the project is still moving forward, despite the pandemic slowing it down.
She revealed that Carrie Brownstein, the writer and star of Portlandia and the co-founder of Sleater-Kinney, is writing the script. She praised Brownstein's talent and experience as a woman in rock.
She also said that they have had some talks about who might play her and her sister Nancy Wilson, the other half of Heart. She expressed her preference for someone who can sing and who is young and fresh.
Heart is one of the most successful rock bands of all time, with hits such as "Barracuda," "Crazy on You," and "Alone." They have sold over 35 million records worldwide and have been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
The bio-pic is expected to cover their rise to fame, their struggles with drugs and alcohol, their break-up and reunion, and their influence on generations of female rockers.
