Cher celebrates to kick off the holiday season

Cher is celebrating the festive season with a #1 album.  The pop icon’s first ever holiday album, ‘Christmas,’ debuts at the top of the Billboard Top Holiday Albums chart, making it her second career chart-topping album.

Christmas is a collection of classic and original songs, featuring collaborations with some of the biggest names in music. Cher duets with Stevie Wonder on "What Christmas Means to Me", Cyndi Lauper on "Baby, It's Cold Outside", Michael Bublé on "White Christmas", Darlene Love on "Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)" and Tyga on "Santa Baby".

The album also marks a milestone for Cher, as it enters the Billboard 200 at number-32, giving her her 14th Top 40 album. She is only the second female artist, after Barbra Streisand, to have Top 40 albums in every decade since the 1960s. Other artists who have achieved this feat are Bob Dylan and The Rolling Stones, who coincidentally also have a new album out, Hackney Diamonds, which also features Stevie Wonder.

Cher expressed her gratitude to her fans and collaborators on X, writing: "Thank you for making my Christmas album number-one. I'm so happy and proud of this record. It was a joy to work with such amazing artists and friends. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did making it. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all!"
