The Rolling Stones are not done with their new album, ‘Hackney Diamonds,’ yet. The legendary rockers have announced that they will re-release the album three months after its initial release, with a bonus live CD.
Hackney Diamonds (Live Edition) will feature the original 12 tracks of the studio album, plus a second CD with seven live songs recorded at the album release party at the Racket club in New York City on October 19th, 2023. The live CD will include four new songs from Hackney Diamonds, as well as classic hits like "Shattered", "Tumbling Dice" and "Jumpin’ Jack Flash". The live CD will also feature a special guest appearance by Lady Gaga, who joined the band on stage for the closing song, "Sweet Sounds of Heaven".
Hackney Diamonds is the 31st studio album by the Rolling Stones, and their first since 2016's Blue & Lonesome. The album was recorded at the Hackney Empire Theatre in London, and produced by Don Was and the Glimmer Twins. The album has received critical acclaim and commercial success, selling over a million copies worldwide since its release on October 20th, 2023. The album showcases the band's diverse musical influences, from blues and rock to reggae and soul.
The Rolling Stones are also gearing up for their 2024 tour, which will kick off on April 28th in Houston. The tour will mark the band's 60th anniversary and will include 18 U.S. shows and one in Canada, ending on July 17th in Santa Clara, California.
Hackney Diamonds (Live Edition) will be available on December 20th, in CD, vinyl and digital formats. Fans can pre-order the album on the band's official website or on streaming platforms.
