U2 have released a new remix of their latest single, "Atomic City", by acclaimed producer Mike WiLL Made-It. The remix adds a fresh twist to the rock anthem, with Mike WiLL Made-It's signature beats and synths complementing Bono's vocals and The Edge's guitar riffs.
Mike WiLL Made-It is known for his work with some of the biggest names in pop and hip-hop, such as Miley Cyrus, Rihanna and Beyonce. He has also produced hits for Kendrick Lamar, Drake and Eminem.
"Atomic City" is the first new song from U2 since their 2017 album, Songs of Experience. The band released the original version of the song in September, in conjunction with the start of their residency at the Sphere, a state-of-the-art venue in Las Vegas. The song is inspired by the city's neon lights and energy, and features a video show on Fremont Street, where U2 filmed the iconic video for "I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For" in 1987.
The video for "Atomic City" also includes footage of drummer Larry Mullen, who is not part of the residency due to his recovery from back surgery. However, he does play on the song and is expected to rejoin the band on stage next year.
In addition to the remix, U2 have also announced the release of a coffee table book, U2: UV Sphere, which documents their groundbreaking residency and showcases their stunning visuals and stage design. The book will be out in January and is available for pre-order on U2.com.
U2 will wrap up this year's run at the Sphere on Friday and Saturday, before returning for more shows on January 26th.
