Rolling Stones are in for a treat as the group announced the release of another concert from their archives. ‘Live at the Wiltern,’ captures the band's intimate performance at the Los Angeles theater on November 2, 2002, will be out on March 8th.
The concert was part of the ‘Licks World Tour,’ which celebrated the band's 40th anniversary and featured different setlists for different venues. At the Wiltern, the Stones played a mix of classics and rarities, including songs like "Hand of Fate" and "Neighbors," that had not been performed live since the 1970s. They also paid tribute to some of their influences with covers of soul and Motown hits like "That's How Strong My Love Is" and "Going to a Go-Go."
The album also features some special guests, such as soul legend Solomon Burke, who joined the band for a rendition of "Everybody Needs Somebody to Love," and drummer Jim Keltner, who added his groove to the epic "Can't You Hear Me Knocking."
'Live at the Wiltern' will be available in various formats, such as DVD + two CDs; Blu-Ray + two-CD, a stand-alone two-CD and four different 3-LP variants. Fans can also watch a trailer for the album on YouTube, which showcases the band's energy and charisma on stage.
'Live at the Wiltern' is the latest addition to the Rolling Stones' ongoing series of archival releases, which aim to preserve and share the band's live legacy with their loyal followers.
