Pink Floyd are set to release a new version of their masterpiece album ‘The Dark Side of the Moon,’ celebrating the album’s 51st anniversary this year. The album, which is widely regarded as one of the greatest and most influential albums of all time, will be available in a special "Collector’s Edition" on crystal clear vinyl.
The new edition will feature a two-disc set, with a unique UV artwork print on the non-groove side of each disc. The print will show the album's famous prism spectrum design, which will be visible through the playable side of the vinyl. The images are printed with a high-end UV printer, using UV-Led light to dry the permanent ink on the side without audio.
The "Collector’s Edition" will also come with a slipcase gatefold sleeve and an exclusive poster, featuring the original artwork by Storm Thorgerson. The album will be released on April 19th and will be a limited edition.
The Dark Side of the Moon is Pink Floyd's eighth studio album and was released in 1973. It explores themes such as conflict, greed, time, death and mental illness, and features some of the band's most famous songs, such as "Money", "Us and Them", "Brain Damage" and "Eclipse". The album has sold over 45 million copies worldwide and is one of the best-selling albums of all time.
