Styx and Foreigner rock the road this summer

Styx and Foreigner launched their "Renegades & Juke Box Heroes" tour in Grand Rapids, Michigan on Tuesday, marking their first joint venture in a decade. The tour opener was a nostalgic trip down memory lane, with both bands delivering a powerhouse performance of their greatest hits.

Styx's setlist was a parade of classics, including "The Grand Illusion," "Too Much Time on My Hands," and "Come Sail Away," complemented by deeper tracks like "Lorelei" and their recent hit, "Crash of the Crown."

Foreigner also rocked the songs that continue to grace radio airwaves daily. The synergy between the two bands created an unforgettable experience for the audience, as they were treated to a seamless blend of anthems.

Styx’s Tommy Shaw shared the sentiment behind their decision to team up with Foreigner for this summer's tour. Despite previous tours with REO Speedwagon and the looming notion of retirement, Shaw revealed that the band couldn't pass up the opportunity to perform with Kelly Hansen of Foreigner once more. "It was an offer he couldn't refuse. Retirement? No!!!" exclaimed Shaw.

The tour will rock more dates through the summer across the U.S.
